Who writes this, and how

Why this site exists

Most information about moving to or buying on the Costa del Sol is written by someone with inventory to sell, or by a content farm that has never stood in the Málaga extranjería queue. This site does one thing differently: every guide is written from here, every load-bearing number carries a source and a "last checked" date, and commercial relationships are disclosed on the page where they apply.

Editorial policy

Sources and dates. Every figure that could cost you money (a tax rate, a threshold, a fee) is verified against a primary source (Agencia Tributaria, BOE, Seguridad Social, IRS, HMRC and equivalents) and dated. If a figure could not be verified, the guide says so instead of guessing.

Professional review. Guides covering tax or legal territory carry either a named professional reviewer or a visible notice that review is pending. I am not a lawyer, tax adviser or insurance mediator; this site produces information and introductions, and qualified professionals give advice.

AI disclosure. I use AI tools for research and drafting. Every published figure is checked against its primary source by a human, and every guide carries at least one thing AI cannot produce: first-hand, on-the-ground detail from living here.

How this site makes money. Category partnerships with local professionals (clearly marked), referral relationships disclosed where they apply, and my own products. No display-ad networks, no sponsored editorial dressed up as neutral advice, and no payments for placement in comparisons.

Corrections. Found an error? Email me. Corrections are made visibly via each guide's "Updated" date.
